Bouteloua gracilis

Bouteloua Gracilis (Blue Grama)

A wonderful little grass for a sunny well drained bed, the flowers are a curiosity, borne on stiffly upright stems with each one carrying a small number of brush-like reddish flower spikes that are suspended from the stems horizontally and sometimes curl into a perfect circle as they mature and dry.

This is a tufted, hardy perennial and low growing grass that makes good ground cover that would go well with other grasses and would look great interspersed with hardy perennials auch as Salvia and Nepeta. Long lived, drough resistant and very easy needing little maintenance. 60cm x 60cm.
