These attractive evergreen variegated shrubs also known as Japanese Spindle Trees are native to the Far Eastern countries of Korea, Japan and China. It is considered to be and is referred to as a small shrub but can grow to a height of 5 metres if left as a feature shrub in bed or border or as hedge they can be kept clipped to a height of 60-200cm. The leaves of the Euonymus Bravo hedges are a glossy green with a most attractive creamy yellow edge that over time can fade to an equally pretty creamy white.
It is an easy to grow undemanding plant that thrives in full sun or partial shade. The Euonymus Japonicus Bravo hedge copes well with being planted in coastal sites but does not enjoy a cold spot therefore a little shelter from chilly winds would help. Although able to thrive in any reasonable soil they do prefer it to be dry and not waterlogged and once established require little attention. This delightful plant can be grown as a small tree in pots or containers and placed in darker areas in the garden or on the patio that would benefit from their brightly coloured leaves. Cuttings and small branches can be taken from this vibrant plant and make a delightful addition to flower arrangements.
We supply and grow our Euonymus Japonicus Bravo in pots which allows planting at any time. If when your hedging plants are delivered circumstances prevent planting then keeping them watered allows you to plant whenever time allows. If you require further assistance please do ring one of our team, who will be happy to help.
