Ceanothus Autumnal Blue

Ceanothus prefer well drained soil, this is certainly one of the hardier varieties but still appreciates a sheltered spot away from harsh north or east winds. Grow Ceanothus against a warm sunny wall, at the back of a sheltered bed or even as an unusual evergreen flowering hedge if your garden is sheltered. (Suitable for a hedge of 150cm or so, trim in spring)

Autumnal Blue is a strong and upright growing Ceanothus, once well established it needs little maintenance.
